Research

Last month on July 17, NKBA released its mid-year Market Outlook Update report, which serves as the final forecasting report for 2024. This comprehensive report includes an estimate of the current size of the Kitchen & Bath (K&B) market in U.S. dollars, projections for the K&B market in 2024 based on updated data and insights from the first half of the year, and an in-depth analysis of how various economic and housing market trends are influencing the kitchen and bath industry.

The NKBA / John Burns Kitchen & Bath Market Index (KBMI) was recently released on July 31. This quarterly report serves as a gauge of current and future market conditions within the kitchen and bath industry. The report features key metrics for identifying industry trends, strengths and weaknesses. The report also analyzes the latest market changes and offers valuable insights into both the growth opportunities and challenges faced by industry professionals.

Governance

Multiple NKBA National Committees met virtually in July and will meet later this month. The Chapter Leadership Committee met to discuss a wide range of topics including compliance & initiative grants, chapter officer elections, and W2W & Thirty Under 30. The Finance Committee will meet to review and prepare important financial information to present to the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors will meet at the end of the month for their quarterly meeting where they received a financial update as well as updates on various NKBA departments and initiatives – provided by NKBA CEO & Global President, Bill Darcy. NKBA thanks all of our national volunteers for playing a crucial role in these volunteer positions!

Want to continue your volunteerism at NKBA in a new and exciting way? If so, apply for a National Committee position in September! This election cycle we have 4 open positions on the Board of Directors, 2 open positions on the Chapter Leadership Committee, 2 open positions on the Leadership Recruitment Committee, and 7 open positions on the KBIS Exhibitor Committee.
