Location: CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA POSITION SUMMARY Writing and editing clear and concise technical documents in the form of technical instructions, lab reports, operation manuals, assembly instructions, installation manuals, use and care manuals and similar technical documents. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  Interpretation of technical specifications and translation into instructional format.  Maintain an organized structure of documents providing the ability of department personnel to quickly reference required documents.  Cooperating with marketing, manufacturing, production, suppliers, purchasing and quality to develop product literature.  Managing several projects at the same time with a “hands on” approach.  Meeting assigned task deadlines and milestones. Must strive tobring closure to issues to ensure timely delivery of product literature. Analyze and benchmarking competitive product literature.  Evaluating and recommending resources, tools and equipment to complete assigned tasks  Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or required by the business. EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS  Must have a degree in English, technical writing, or related technical field.  Minimum 5 years of experience working in engineering environment with emphasis on technical documentation.  Strong experience in procedure writing and highly desirable to have software development procedure writing background.  Strong ability to read and understand technical documents, specifications and drawings.  Knowledgeable of sheet metal design & manufacturing methods.  Knowledge of best practices processes in engineering and manufacturing gained from hands on experience in the industry as well as practical knowledge of mechanical components and interactions.  Product design and manufacturing experience desired. SKILLS & ABILITIES  Must be well organized and attentive to detail and accuracy.  High proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite-Excel, Word, and PowerPoint  Must have excellent and clear communication skills both verbal and written. OTHER POSITION INFORMATION Physical/Mental Demands (Essential Functions): Ability to access and observe all areas of facility. Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities/deadlines and moderate stress. Ability to communicate with others.  Physical/Mental Demands (Non-Essential Functions): Bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting  Travel: Minimal travel for training or to attend business meetings.
