What You Will Learn
Outdoor kitchens have evolved from simple grills into architectural environments where cooking, design, and entertaining intersect. This webinar explores the European approach to modular outdoor kitchen and professional barbecue design, highlighting how precision engineering, high quality materials, and well-planned layouts can transform exterior spaces into year-round destinations.
Participants will examine how contemporary outdoor cooking systems are created as complete design languages rather than standalone appliances. Stainless steel construction, advanced heat management, and modular planning allow designers to create outdoor kitchens that perform while maintaining visual continuity with the home’s architecture. The webinar presenters will review how European manufacturers approach durability, designing for extreme climates, intensive use, and long life cycles without sacrificing style.
A key focus will be the transition from “grill area” to true outdoor architecture. We will explore how modular systems support ergonomic workflows and proportional balance, enabling designers to compose outdoor spaces with the same discipline used indoors. Attendees will learn how cooking surfaces, preparation zones, storage, and fire elements can be integrated into layouts tailored for residential and multi-family projects.
Material strategy is central to optimal outdoor design. The session addresses the performance of stainless steel, porcelain, and sintered surfaces; considerations for thicknesses and finishes; and product benefits that protect against heat and moisture. We will also discuss innovations in gas efficiency and heat control that reduce consumption while improving cooking results.
Through project examples and planning concepts, designers will gain practical tools for specifying modular outdoor kitchens. The goal is to help professionals create dynamic outdoor environments where culinary techniques coexist with outdoor aesthetics, and where fire becomes an architectural element that enriches everyday living and entertaining.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the principles of European modular outdoor kitchen planning, including appliances, heat management and installation best practices.
- Apply outdoor material and surface strategies to create durable, cohesive environments for residential and commercial spaces.
- Identify emerging materials and technologies shaping the future of outdoor design.
