Thirty Under 30: Perry Zorbas

As General Contractor and Owner/CEO of Oakville, Ontario-based Prestige Construction Inc., Perry Zorbas is realizing his dream — “to build something of my own” — all before his 25^th birthday. Perry launched Prestige in 2023 as a landscape construction company — but within a year he had grown it into a full-service general contracting business. “Over this time, I have overseen a wide range of residential renovation and construction projects, mainly specializing in high-quality bathroom, kitchen and full-home transformations,” he says. His mission? “To create not just remarkable spaces, but a standard of excellence that inspires everyone around me.”

Perry says he was drawn to a career in the kitchen and bath industry because it allows him to bring together technical skill, creativity and leadership — much like his two decades spent as a high-level athlete who excelled on the soccer field. He laced up his first pair of cleats at the age of four, he says, and in college played at the NCAA and OUA levels in the U.S. and Canada. “The discipline, teamwork and drive to constantly improve are the same qualities I bring to every project,” he explains. “Kitchens and bathrooms are the heart of a home, spaces that are used every day, and I find it rewarding to transform them into something both functional and beautiful.”

Perry, who self-describes as “fearless,” readily admits he loves a big challenge. He counts a full interior transformation — open-concept main floor, master suite, laundry room, kitchen and two additional bathrooms — as his most memorable project. “Each milestone, from a full gut demolition, to framing, to design finishes, felt like stacking steps toward something truly remarkable,” he says.

His own personal design style leans toward a European-inspired, modern aesthetic. “I’m drawn to the timeless elegance of natural materials, especially with unique natural stone, and I love pairing that with the clean lines and warmth of light oak and wood veneer detailing,” he notes. “In kitchens and bathrooms, this balance creates a calm yet sophisticated mood: spaces that feel inviting and livable, but also refined and modern.”

When he’s not spending quality time with his girlfriend, Claudia, you’ll find Perry training for his first half-Ironman. “One of my biggest goals is to complete a full Ironman within the next two years,” he says. “It’s a challenge that pushes me physically and mentally, and I know the discipline it requires will only make me stronger in all aspects of my life.”

Travel is also a passion — a favorite destination is Spain, especially Barcelona and Mallorca — and Perry says he’d love to see and experience more countries around the world, “learning from different cultures and carrying those inspirations back into both my personal life and my work.” Two other life goals are closer to home. “I also want to continue pursuing my passions within my career,” he says, “including building my own home one day and striving to win more awards, not just for myself but for my business and the incredible team I’m proud to lead.”
