Among the leading trends in kitchen and bath remodeling in recent years are creating spa-like primary bathrooms and luxurious outdoor kitchens. Daltile, the nation’s largest tile manufacturer, offers a wide selection of ceramic, porcelain, natural stone and quartzite products that stand up to the rigors of wet rooms and weather resistance.

Daltile has been supplying an extensive product portfolio for more than 75 years. It is sourced and manufactured sustainably, and with 80 percent of its production in North America, the company can easily service all regions quickly and efficiently. Its wide range means it can meet design and budgetary needs, from accessible to luxury pricing, according to Patrick Warren, vice president of residential sales, dealer and showrooms.

“Because of our tiles’ waterproof performance, bacteria resistance, low maintenance, versatile design options and cost effectiveness, Daltile products are by far the best products for wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchens — indoor and outdoor,” said Warren. “Tile has been, is, and always will be the preeminent waterproof product for wet areas. The surface of our tile is unchanged by liquids, water or moisture.”

The company, founded in Dallas in 1947, prides itself on innovation and being a “one-stop shop.” Among Daltile’s latest offerings is its Panoramic Porcelain SurfacesTM collection. Ideally suited for indoor or outdoor applications, Panoramic Porcelain Surfaces are large format with fewer seams, are virtually maintenance free with no need for sealing, and resistant to heat, stain, scratches and chipping.

Because of their slip resistance, they are also appropriate for flooring as well as walls and countertops. The Panoramic Porcelain collection offers the beauty of natural stone with the strength of porcelain, allowing designers to create exceptional environments at a much lower cost than natural stones.

Advancing Customer Service

Warren said one of the greatest consumer needs in the industry is accessing help during the entire shopping journey. “We have put a tremendous amount of effort and expertise into providing online, in-store, and sampling tools that help our customers pick exactly the right product for their needs and personal taste,” he said. “From the first online touchpoint all the way to the in-store experience, the Daltile shopping journey is filled with easy-to-use tools that provide inspiration, exploration, information and design guidance. Everything we do is focused on helping the end-customer select a product they will be happy with for years to come.”

Additionally, he said the shortage of professional tile installers is also an industry challenge that Daltile is actively facing. “We continue to partner with all trade associations on developing training and career programs to educate about the benefits of being a general installer — including hardwood, LVT, laminate — not just tile.”
