Bertazzoni Honored: Paolo Bertazzoni, president of premium appliance maker Bertazzoni SpA, has been named a Cavaliere del Lavoro by the president of Italy, Sergio Mattarella. The Cavaliere, established in 1901, is a prestigious honor that recognizes entrepreneurs and business executives for their outstanding contributions to the economic and social progress of the nation. Kohler Collaborates with Artist Arsham: Kohler Co. teamed up with artist Daniel Arsham to create Rock.01, a limited edition of 3D-printed bathroom sinks. Just 99 of these one-of-a-kind sinks were produced from vitreous china and hand-cast brass. Inspired by natural formations, they reinterpret stacked rocks in amorphous shapes, and pair well with Kohler’s Components faucet in matte black. Arsham is a multidisciplinary artist who has collaborated with Kohler on previous projects. Learn more at Kohler.
Miele Launches Sustainability Campaign: Premium German appliance maker Miele has partnered with Kyle Connaughton, chef of three-star Michelin restaurant SingleThread, and Norbert Niederkofler, executive chef at three-star Michelin restaurant St. Hubertus at Hotel Rosa Alpina and owner of AlpiNN Food Space and Restaurant, on a campaign to share a global message of sustainability. “Stories From Our Only Home” is a video series about the planet, people and produce that promotes sustainability through the ethical sourcing and cooking of ingredients. Moen Teams with California on Water Usage: Moen has signed an agreement with the California Water Efficiency Partnership (CalWEP) to improve efficiency in water usage in the state through a rebate program for its Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff. The digitally driven device detects leaks and helps to reduce residential water wasted through leaks by as much as 90 percent. Through the program, CalWEP’s 225+ member organizations can give their customers the opportunity to purchase the Flo system and receive a rebate. The system and other water-efficiency products are part of Mission Moen’s goal to save 1 trillion gallons of water by 2030. KBB has more.
Kutchenhaus Makes U.S. Debut: Kutchenhaus, a German kitchen retailer, has opened its first American showrooms in Miami and Doral, FL. Kutchenhaus, established in the UK in 2004, is owned by global kitchen furniture manufacturer nobilia. The retailer sells nobilia products exclusively and has 75 showrooms in the UK plus locations in Australia and Portugal. The 3,800 square-foot Doral showroom is at 7850 NW 32nd Street, while Miami’s is located in nobila’s headquarters building at 2800 Biscayne Boulevard near the Design District. Both showcase German-designed and built kitchen, bath, home office, living space and closet solutions. The company plans further expansion in the U.S., starting in the Florida market. Jefferson Tapped at Geberit:Â Ronn Jefferson has been named West Region Sales and Builder Manager for Geberit North America. He started with the company 19 years ago as a senior design engineer in new product development and serving as the Geberit Product Manager since 2007.
