If pedaling through Pennsylvania’s scenic Lehigh Valley while testing your endurance for a good cause is in your wheelhouse, make sure to spin on over here by August 23. That will be the last day to register to celebrate 60 years of NKBA and KBIS on Monday, September 16 at 7:30 am ET with a 60-mile bike ride to support Habitat for Humanity, the volunteer builder of housing for disadvantaged households.

Or perhaps you’ll get a bicycle kick out of the 30-mile or 12-miles routes? And if running or walking is more your speed, you’re also invited to lace up and enjoy a 5K course. Starting at NKBA’s new headquarters in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, or other nearby locales, it all goes to help NKBA’s partner for the day, Habitat for Humanity Lehigh Valley, reach their fundraising goal of $5,000 to help a family build a safe and secure place to call home, while providing members with the opportunity to connect with the design community and donate to a worthy cause.

“Reaching this 60-year milestone is not just a celebration of our past but a testament to the vibrant future of the kitchen and bath industry,” says Bill Darcy, Global President & Chief Executive Officer of NKBA. “This 60-mile bike ride symbolizes our unwavering commitment to innovation, collaboration, and leadership in the home design community.”

To participate, you must be a NKBA | KBIS Member or invited by an NKBA Employee. When registering, there’s a minimum donation of $25 to Habitat for Humanity Lehigh Valley via the donation link on our page. Those registering for the bike ride will get a helmet decal, while both bike riders and walkers will receive a T-shirt and hat. All other pertinent Information, including bike rentals, routes, and rest stops, can be found here.

“By partnering with our local Habitat for Humanity, we are not only celebrating our legacy but also promoting wellness, healthy living, and giving back to the communities we serve,” Darcy concludes. “As we commemorate six decades of connecting and empowering professionals across North America and beyond, we look forward to driving the industry forward with the same passion and dedication that has brought us here.”
