Showroom Innovators Honored at KBIS

NKBA | KBIS celebrated the winners of its annual Innovative Showroom Awards at the Design & Industry Awards ceremonies at KBIS 2025.

The 2025 Innovative Showroom Awards celebrated the inspiring ways in which showroom operations elevate the shopper experience with customer engagement, beautifully designed environments, outstanding customer service, and sales integrity.

Nine winners were recognized in four categories and honored at the Design & Industry Awards at KBIS. Judges for this year’s competition include Madison Fitzgerald, The Middleby Corp.; Jake Hohman, Moen Inc., and Jennifer Thompson, CKD, Creative Cabinets and Design.

Multi-Location, Multi-Product Showroom

These showrooms have multiple locations, sell and display various products and brands and are owned by the same company.

Winner: Large Showroom (5,000+ square feet):

Showroom Designer: Don’s Appliances

The Canonsburg Design Center recently underwent a renovation and showcases myriad brands, from entry-level to luxury. It is interactive, with live appliances to demonstrate appliance features and smart technology. The renovation incorporated a sleek, cohesive design that aligns with each of the luxury brands featured, which elevated the overall feel of the space. Additionally, the design team incorporated eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient appliances that not only appeal to environmentally conscious consumers but also reflects modern design trends.

Showroom Designer: Marcia Speer

Poggenpohl’s new 3,500 square-foot showroom is in Boston’s iconic Saunders building in historic Back Bay. The light-filled, open floor plan infuses the space with a sense of modern luxury. The showroom presents five main kitchen areas that are integrated with living spaces, to show real home scenarios. Sophisticated features complementing the luxury cabinetry include appliances and fixtures from Sub-Zero, Wolf, Miele, Pitt, Gaggenau, Dornbracht, Galley, and Blanco; Spevka wood, Dekton, and Italian limestone and granite countertops, metallic appointments, and creative storage solutions.

Kitchen & Bath Design Centers

These centers offer expert design and project management teams ready to work from concept to completion, from fixture or appliance updates to full K&B remodels.

Kitchen, Bath & Home was recognized for its sleek, modern ambience that immerses visitors in a real-life environment, with design features like a stretch ceiling that enhances the spatial experience. The showroom is configured like a microcosm of a home, from kitchen to bar to dining space to living area. It reflects how people live, move and interact with their environment. Lighting is a critical element to show how different tones and temperatures affect the appearances of finishes and materials. The vignettes are fully interactive to demonstrate trends, functional elements and innovative solutions in design.

Inde Intuitive Design’s trademark is offering dozens of options in cabinetry, doors, plumbing fixtures, surfacing materials, hardware, and more, without overwhelming clients. Attention to detail is evident in every part of the showroom. Inde accomplished this with a masterfully functional design utilizing every inch of space, creating custom cabinetry to house multiple designs and sizes so customers may see actual samples in a hands-on environment.

Showroom Designer: Fisher & Paykel

Fisher & Paykel’s 7,000 square-foot experience center offers informative demos and tastings in an inspiring showcase of premium appliances. Clients may experience the advanced performance of cooking and food preservation appliances, as well as an outdoor kitchen vignette. The sleek multi-sensory center, adjacent to the New Zealand-based brand’s U.S. headquarters, reflects principles of sustainable design and the latest technology aligned to create a personalized kitchen ecosystem for clients.

Showroom Designer: 1zu33 Architectural Studio

Designed by Munich-based studio 1zu33, Gaggenau’s Miami flagship merges the brand’s minimalist aesthetic with the city’s vibrant Art Deco heritage, resulting in a unique “Minimal Deco” style. The showroom blends luxury design and Gaggenau’s rich legacy with Miami’s cultural heritage in a contemporary, immersive experience. The sophisticated space hosts a range of gatherings, from intimate chef’s dinners to exclusive brand events, features curated art installations, including permanent work by artist Matt Gagnon, and highlights skilled artisans throughout the space into a hub that transcends commerce and invites deeper engagement with both the brand and the local design community.

The stylish vignettes and efficient function of this showroom create an inspiring experience for clients as well as a thoughtful workspace for employees. Many displays are fully functional, contributing to an interactive customer experience. The innovative kitchen display introduces clients to the latest in kitchen technology, like a large coffee bar with a 45-inch designer sink and touchless faucets. This display has increased interest in smart faucets, as customers appreciate the hands-on opportunity to learn how to bring practical innovation into their homes and how technology can enhance their daily routines in beautiful, functional ways.

Showroom Designer: Element Home Gallery

Element Home Gallery, comprising Appliance by Design and Element Cabinet design, aims to celebrate interior design in all its forms. Nine kitchen displays — five of which are fully functional — present myriad options from budget-friendly to luxury in a space that offers customers an interactive experience that’s not overwhelming or overcrowded.  Element’s signature characteristic is creating a warm, inviting, low-pressure environment where guests can envision their dream homes and make decisions in a relaxed atmosphere.

A showroom that represents just one brand and allows participants to focus on the design/product experience.

Showroom Designer: Caesarstone Internal

The Caesarstone Showroom & Design Center seamlessly blends cutting-edge technology with interactive experiences. Its 360 VR design tools allow users to immerse themselves in a virtual environment, visualizing Caesarstone surfaces from every angle to bring their ideas to life. Paired with the Caesarstone Studio platform, which offers detailed technical information, pattern guides, and material specifications, designers can streamline the selection process and make more informed decisions. Full-scale displays enable visitors to see, touch, and compare the latest colors and textures in quartz, porcelain, mineral, and natural stone. Another unique element is Caesarstone’s partnership with InvisiCook, which showcases how porcelain surfaces pair with induction hobs positioned underneath the countertop, allowing for safe cooking and seamless surface use in one countertop.
