As a designer, you can match clients with the type and style of home kitchen appliances that best suit their lifestyles and cooking preference. You’ll gain insight into steam ovens, induction burners, probe thermometers, sous vide cooking and other modernist cuisine technology. Finally, you can guide your clients through the kitchen appliance selection process and provide an awareness of the variety of options that the industry has to offer.

  • Destigmatize induction burners and embrace the all-electric kitchen.
  • Identify client archetypes and match them with home kitchen appliances that suit their lifestyle and cooking preferences.

Chef Andrew Forlines has spent several years in the residential appliance industry teaching home builders, kitchen designers and end users about all aspects of residential cooking appliances.  He focuses on advanced cooking technologies and techniques from the fine dining restaurant industry that are now available for the home kitchen.

He trained and worked his way up the ranks for many years at the Five-Star, Five-Diamond rated, Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado.  His career has always been at the nexus of fine dining, molecular gastronomy, refined customer service, advanced cooking technology, food science, and culinary teaching.
