What You Will Learn
The “budget talk” can be uncomfortable and borderline intrusive. It’s not about how much a project will cost, but more about what the client is willing to invest. Learn how to navigate those tough conversations, from helping clients identify their budget, to articulating how the scope of a project will determine the budget. This course will deep dive into verbal tips and tricks on how to get clients to share their budget, and exercises designers can do to help a client prioritize their project’s investment. After this course, a designer should feel confident addressing and educating a client on how to budget for a project, in a nonthreatening and approachable way!

Elizabeth P. Lord-Levitt, CMKBD | Principal Designer of Elizabeth P. Lord Residential Design LLC
Specializing in residential design and construction, Elizabeth’s energetic approach to her designs is a culmination of over 20 years in the interior design and remodeling industry. Her Denver based residential design firm, Elizabeth P. Lord Residential Design LLC, specializes in kitchen and bathroom remodels, and residential construction projects.
As a CMKBD and CLIPP certified designer with a master’s degree in real estate and construction management, Elizabeth applies her construction knowledge to her designs, resulting in completed projects that are not only aesthetically impactful, but practical and obtainable. In addition to designing, Elizabeth holds a Colorado real estate brokers license, teaches construction management at a local interior design school and is the founder of Built4Design Residential Academy, which provides residential construction education curated specifically for the interior design and real estate industry.
She is also currently on the Thermador Design Council, the Vice President of the IDS Denver chapter and is an ambassador for the She Built Foundation.
