I’m LaDonna Eriksen, the Founding Partner of the Construction Education Consortium, a company I co-founded in May of 2023. Our presentations under the name of Construction Education Consortium began in the same year, focusing on educating and sharing expertise within the construction industry.
For the past 38 years, I’ve worked as an interior designer, running my business, Interiors by Design. I’m a proud member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), a licensed general contractor, and a Certified Living in Place Professional. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills in both residential and commercial design, working on a variety of remodeling projects from the initial design concept to the final completion.
In addition to my design experience, I’ve been a licensed general contractor and project manager since 2012. For the past twelve years, a significant portion—over 85%—of my work has been centered around kitchen and bath design. This includes providing comprehensive design consultations, creating cabinetry layouts, producing shop drawings, drafting space plans for entire home designs, and overseeing production and installation.
I have a strong background in human anatomy, which has always influenced my approach to design. I believe that function and form must work hand in hand, and I make it a priority to ensure that every space I design is both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. Above all, making homes accessible and safe has always been a top priority in my work, and I strive to incorporate these elements into every project.
