Dear Chapter Officers,
Happy July! We hope everyone enjoyed a festive Fourth. Our Chapters are keeping the celebrations going beyond the fireworks!
From creative collaborations to community giving, NKBA Chapters are in the spotlight with special summertime events. Mid Atlantic Chapter presents Paddles and Palettes with a red, white and blue barbecue. Carolina Chapter’s Red, White and Blueprints at Walker Woodworking & Greenbrook Design features a Made in the USA factory tour with CEUs, cocktails and networking.
Special salute to the Southern Ohio/Kentucky Chapter volunteers who will spend their time giving back and making a meaningful impact at the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati. Georgia Chapter will serve up great connections and active networking at their second annual PickleBall Tournament, while Maine Chapter will bring the heat (and the butter) with their highly anticipated annual Lobster Bake. All this and more is in store across our 70 Chapters across the U.S. and Canada. Cheers to all!
Seeking Volunteer Leaders
Chapter Officer Elections season is here. Self-nominations are open through Friday, July 31 at 5:00 PM ET for the following volunteer leadership positions:
- Programs Chair
- Membership Chair
- Secretary-Treasurer
Please note: Even if you are the current Chapter Officer, you must submit a self-nomination form for the next term, which begins January 1, 2027 and ends December 31, 2028. Click here to submit.
Thirty Under 30 Nominations
Nominations are open through August 31 for NKBA’s prestigious Thirty Under 30 program. Click here to nominate yourself or a deserving colleague for the Class of 2027 to be introduced live on the KBIS NextStage on February 2, 2027.
New CKBD Certification Pathway
Please share the news with your chapters – our new NKBA Certification pathway to CKBD is underway. Formal higher education or industry qualifications are no longer the only options. Now with the new pathway, NKBA members with 7+ years industry experience are invited to apply through our new streamlined application process. Click here to learn more and submit your application.

Mark Your Calendars
On September 1, self-nominations will open for NKBA’s national Chapter Leadership Committee (CLC). Five current or past Chapter Officers serve on the CLC for a three-year term. CLC members must have served at least one full (two-year) term within the past two years to be eligible. You can find our current CLC members on nkba.org on your Resources / Chapter Officers go-to page. Please let us know if you have any questions.
We’re in the planning stages of Fall High Point Market (October 17-21) and Kitchen + Bath Canada Expo (November 11-12) in Toronto. Save the dates with NKBA!
