Dynamic Lighting Flexibility in Kitchens

Kitchens are the heart of the home, a place to gather, cook, eat, relax, craft, and work. We expect a lot out of these central rooms, and modern lighting technology paired with control, can help these rooms morph for the moment required. Let’s explore the capabilities of cutting edge lighting fixtures that can seamlessly adjust their hue with the day, to feel in tune with the natural day, or set the perfect scene for a day of baking or a late night glass of wine. We will address the capabilities and limitations of what’s possible today and forecast where the industry is heading in the future, to give you and your clients a better understanding of how kitchens can dynamically adjust to the demands of our daily lives.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to appreciate the critical layers of lighting within a kitchen environment.
  • Understand the impacts of lighting types and placement on the varied expected tasks in a kitchen.
  • Explore modern lighting technology, form factors, and standard practices of how they integrate into kitchens.
  • Understanding of the project requirements to provide flexible lighting adjustments for tasks and mood.
