The German luxury appliance giant has expanded its induction appliances with a new series of cooktops and a range.

Miele has amplified its arsenal of premium home appliances with an innovative line of induction cooktops, the KM 7000 series.
The German appliance manufacturer recently introduced six new induction cooktops and a range incorporating induction technology. The KM 7000 cooktops are sleek and discreet in design, available with or without a stainless-steel frame, and offer superior, best-in-class performance.
Induction technology has been around for decades and is well-established in Europe. It is growing in popularity in the U.S., however, as consumers become more aware of its energy efficiency and lower environmental impact. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognized residential induction cooking tops with its Energy Star Emerging Technology Award for 2021-2022. The EPA reports that induction cooktops are about 5 to 10 percent more efficient than conventional electric resistance units and about three times more efficient than gas. Because the technology heats the cookware, the cooking surface stays cool and, therefore, is safer than other types of cooktops. And, since no fuel (gas) is burned in the heating process, no gasses are released into the air, making for a healthier environment.

Induction Cooktop Advantages
The new KM 7000 series’ benefits include a cooking surface that remains cool to the touch, auto-off and pan detection, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Miele Con@activity-equipped cooktops and compatible ventilation hoods can be networked and connected to the Miele@Home app.
The appliances are easy to clean, with the ability to wipe off spills and splatter as they happen. Indoor air quality is higher without the use of heat and flames.
Frameless models feature FlexZone configuration to accommodate larger cookware vessels.
The units have Smart Select Controls, featuring an easy-to-read yellow color with direct power selection. Displays only come on when a pan is detected.
Other key features include:
- Auto Heat-Up, which reduces the initial power boost to prevent burning.
- A Stop & Go function that can simultaneously reduce power to Level One on all cooking zones for extra safety and to prevent burning.
- A Keep Warm function controls the pan base’s temperature and prevents food from burning.
A New Range
The new 30-inch Miele HR 1422 induction range offers sustainably efficient, high-performance cooking with a sleek design, four induction cooking zones that accommodate various cooking vessels, and TwinPower boosters to provide fast cooking time and even heat distribution. The range also offers turn-dial operation with a user-friendly display and a true self-cleaning function that requires minimal effort from the homeowner. SoftOpen and SoftClose allow for noise and vibration to be absorbed for seamless operation.
