Thirty Under 30: Seth Hunt

Born and raised in Texas, Seth Hunt began his career not knowing that to expect. “I started out in the construction industry at 20 years old with no degree and no idea of what I was doing at the time,” he says. ”I have grown within each company I have worked for and now know 10 times more than I ever thought I would about the kitchen-and-bath area.” 

Seth’s career so far has included two-and-a-half years with countertop and solid surface manufacturer Cambria, where he progressed from sample “runner” to market representative. Just this fall he landed a position as New Construction Trade Representative for Pella Windows & Doors Dallas in his home state. His typical day involves “going into the field to prospect for new accounts, visiting current and upcoming projects, and within that, working on bids to send to builders and making sure that everything that needs to be ordered is ordered,” he says. “Professionally, I have made significant movements in the construction industry over the past four years, and I continue to try to grow.”

Known for his willingness to provide great service with a smile and laughter, Seth describes himself as “eager” to push himself forward within the workspace. But the 26-year-old has also prioritized his personal life. He married his high-school sweetheart, Anne, five years ago. He credits her for helping him through “whatever life throws my way” and says he also does everything he can to support her professional growth as a high school special education teacher. “I have learned to turn my work phone over and focus on just her and myself,” he says. “We do this by watching our daily TV shows and cooking together.” 

Seth’s other loves are outdoor activities — particularly baseball, golf, and hunting — which have always played a very significant part in his life. He also adores his two dogs, Henley and Scottie. “They are my world and make me smile every day when I come home from work,” he says. 

When he and Anne want to get away from it all, they head to her family’s vacation home in Cloudcroft, NM. “I love it because it is up in the mountains and surrounded by wildlife,” he says. “This has become my favorite place as you can enjoy nature and quality family time.” Still, Seth looks forward to adventures further afield. His must-do list includes traveling all over Europe and Australia.
