Thirty Under 30: MacKenzie Rediger
MacKenzie Rediger is one of the outstanding young professionals in NKBA’s Thirty Under 30 Class of 2025.
By Donna Heiderstadt
After overcoming much adversity following a medical issue — just as she was about to start law school in 2021— MacKenzie Rediger moved back home to Suwanee, GA and gave herself a two-year respite to recover. Then she rallied and set her career trajectory in a new direction: the kitchen and bath industry, a place she was familiar with because it was her mother’s chosen field. By the summer of 2023, Kenzie, as she is known, was again able to live a somewhat normal life and was hired as an Architectural & Design Representative at her mom’s employer, Atlanta-based Stone Showcase, Inc. Since then, she has worked closely with upwards of 100 designers and architects to elevate their client’s kitchen and bath spaces.
Kenzie’s appreciation for detail and intuitive understanding of stone (she is a certified CEU presenter) have been integral to her role in guiding clients through stone selection. “Although this isn’t how I thought my life would pan out, I am incredibly grateful for how it did and for Stone Showcase for giving me a chance,” she says. At age 25, Kenzie not only reaches out to designers and architects in the Southeast to assist them with their material needs, she also runs the company’s social media — including being on camera in company videos.
Credit, she says, goes to her left-brain vs. right-brain evolution. “As a kid, I was actually much more left-brained than right-brained,” she says. “Math has always been my strongest and favorite subject. Numbers and solving analytical issues scratches an itch in my brain that I thoroughly enjoy. However, the past few years I have increasingly become more creative in my thinking.” Kenzie attributes this to her recent love of reading. “It has helped me tremendously in my career, as my job definitely focuses on the more creative side of things,” she adds.
Her other obsessions are her two dogs, a Boxer named Annabelle and French bulldog named Millie, and shopping (which she qualifies with an “LOL”). She is also passionate about Hawaii — “If it wasn’t so far away, I would live there in a heartbeat,” she admits — but faces a split decision when it comes to her personal design style. “I definitely love a modern take on things. I love all animal prints used in design and bold colors,” she says. “On a completely different note, I also love regal, period-piece decor. Think ‘Bridgerton’ mixed with a dark academia feel. They are very different from one another, but I love both styles so much!”
Kenzie also has quite a few things on her life’s “must-do” list. “I want to visit Australia, Thailand, and Africa,” she says. “I want to skydive. I want to become tumor-free! I want to find the love of my life and create a family with him. I want to be a mom. I want to be successful in my career. I want to start a nonprofit to support mental health needs in young adolescents. I want to buy a bunch of land and save every dog from a shelter. I want to be happy!”
