Thirty Under 30: Caitlin Boland
Caitlin Boland is one of the outstanding young professionals in NKBA’s Thirty Under 30 Class of 2025.
By Donna Heiderstadt
As a Showroom Consultant at the Ferguson Enterprises showroom in Virginia Beach, VA, Caitlin Boland has been described as “committed to client satisfaction” and “the hardest worker I know.” Her colleagues also admire her positive attitude and her ability to find solutions to any issue. “My typical day is very busy,” Caitlin admits, “but also a lot of fun!”
The word “bubbly” best captures her personality, Caitlin says, which is certainly an asset when you’re the person coordinating with designers, contractors and homeowners during a kitchen or bath renovation. “I guide all parties through selecting plumbing, lighting, appliances and accessories by understanding the clients’ wants and needs, and best directing them through a wide variety of brands and offerings,” she explains.
Throughout her seven years with Ferguson, Caitlin, who recently turned 30, has utilized her “passion for design, detail and, of course, people pleasing” to excel at her job, achieving record sales months and year-over-year growth. From her early days in the showroom providing customer service to homeowners during their initial inquiries to her current role in seeing a project through from start to finish, Caitlin has been client-focused. “I take pride in knowing that the relationships I build with my customers are ones that go beyond the deadline, and instead grow into continued connections for years to come,” she says.
When she’s not coordinating construction and delivery deadlines, you’ll find Caitlin spending time with her husband, Patrick, and son, Brewer, as well as pursuing her love of walking and running. “I have found that this is an opportunity for me to either kick start the day on a positive note or destress when maybe my day was a little crazier than normal,” she says. “Either way, it has become an avenue for relief when needed!”
Caitlin, who has also had her dog Oakley since her senior year at Randolph-Macon College in 2017, admits to being a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Patrick even proposed to her at what was at the time known as Heinz Field. “Since then, we have gotten married, grown our beautiful family and excelled both personally and professionally while supporting each other along the way,” she says.
What’s next? While Caitlin admits she has quite a few things on her life’s “must do” list, she’s most focused on living in the present. “I love my work, I love what I do and I love that I am successful at it,” she says. “However, I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support from my friends and family. So, while I will work to check off the larger tasks on my “must do” list, I am learning to also take the time to enjoy the small moments along the way.”
