Letter from Bill & Suzie
I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Now that it’s officially summer, we can all enjoy our outdoor spaces that have become so important to our at-home lifestyle.
If you’re wondering what it takes to make a great outdoor space today, please go here to view the On Demand sessions from our recent Designing the Outdoor Kitchen summit, which was an amazing event and based on our research report here. (By the way, if you are interested in participating in any of our upcoming events as a moderator, panelist or presenter, please reach out to email@example.com. We absolutely welcome your involvement in any of our events – in person or virtual.)
Summer may be here, but there’s no sign that things are slowing down. In fact, we have some new events and programs to share with you, including:
- A way to “listen” to our articles. We are adding audio files to many of our articles so that if you’d like to hear them on the go, you can. Here is an example. More recently, we featured an interview on Bloomberg Radio here.
- Insider’s Guide to Submitting to Our Design Competition. Yes, sometimes it can be a little complicated to know what to submit, where and how. So we put together a how-to to guide you through the process of submitting projects to our Awards competition: Thursday, June 8 at 2 pm ET. Register here.
- NEW! Showroom Report Reveal. We are debuting our first-ever Showroom Report in an NKBALive segment that “reveals” the key findings and then is followed by a panel discussion moderated by our very own Carrie Kennedy, Market Research Analyst. Thursday, June 21 at 2pm ET. Look for an invite in your inbox in the coming weeks.
Don’t forget our 60th Anniversary special landing page here with its “By the Decade” interactive timeline, content and profiles of past NKBA presidents and Hall of Fame inductees. Some of our favorite articles include this one about the most memorable kitchens of the 2010s and this quiz about NKBA history from 2010 to 2019 — take it to see if you can get a perfect score.
If you have any story ideas or images from a past NKBA event or KBIS, please share them with Helen Ross at firstname.lastname@example.org. We still have several more decades in our countdown before we hit KBIS 2024!
As always, we welcome your feedback and participation since it helps make us more successful supporting you, our members. Have a great start to your summer!
