December 2024
Message from the Chapters Team
Dear Chapter Officers,
Happy December! As we approach year-end, we want to thank you for your wonderful leadership and dedication to NKBA, your Chapters, and our entire K&B industry. Special thanks to our out-going Chapter Officers – we are counting on seeing you at meetings, trade shows, and yes, back on your councils in the future!
This month, as Chapter Officer roles and responsibilities transfer to incoming officers, please be sure to refer to your Chapter Officer Toolkit on nkba.org, where you will find the position descriptions and virtual training videos. In January, we will send links to our 2025 Chapter Officer training videos, as well as hold in-depth, in-person training sessions during KBIS Leader2Leader on Monday, February 24, 2025.
At KBIS, please be sure to take advantage of your VFTI passes, which you received with your VIP registration. Please spread the word about our interesting, engaging VFTI sessions to your members, who can easily upgrade their KBIS registration and sign up for VFTI!
Some VFTI sessions that have already caught our attention will feature our Chapter Officers! Can’t wait to hear Jessica Petrino Ball of Baltimore/Washington; Darilyn Coles of Ontario/Canada; Anneke Huisman of West Michigan; Stacy McCarthy, CMKBD of South Florida; Sarah Nielsen, CKBD of Iowa; Candace Rudd, CMKBD, of Prairie Provinces – and all the fantastic speakers in store at VFTI.
NKBA Chapters team welcomes Elizabeth Mace in a new role as Chapter Engagement Specialist. Many of you have already had the pleasure of working with Elizabeth in her previous role with NKBA Member Services. Kristin, Elizabeth and I look forward to working with each one of our Chapter Officers!
Our warmest and very best wishes to you, your members, and your friends and families during this special time of year. We look forward to our December Chapter Officer virtual meetings. We can’t wait to see what you have in store for year-end and the New Year, too! Countdown is on to KBIS!
Best,
Kelly
