Ric Coggins, long-time NKBA supporter who held multiple local and national posts, passed away on January 31, 2023.

Ric actively served in the NKBA since 2004 and was considered one of the Arizona Chapter’s greatest contributors. He also held several national positions, including various positions on the national advisory council and in 2014 was elected to NKBA’s Executive Committee as National Vice President. After retiring, Ric remained very active in the Arizona Chapter where he served as a consultant.

For over 49 years, he had been involved with many aspects of the kitchen, bath and home industry, including design, sales and marketing. He owned a high-end kitchen appliance center, and, for the last two decades, worked in sales for international appliance manufacturer BSH on regional, national and international assignments.

“When you look up “unselfish volunteer”, a photo of Ric should appear,” said NKBA CEO Bill Darcy. “This man was always available to lend a helping hand to NKBA and someone who stepped up any time he was asked without question. He was thoughtful and an expert on the history of Bosch appliances. I learned so much from him during my early days at NKBA. I will most remember him as a wonderful human being, someone I will never forget.”

He was a great friend to all that knew him, a beloved husband to his wife Suzette, and was known affectionately as “Papa” to his children and grandchildren. In the words of his wife, ultimately the most important aspects of Ric’s life were his friends, faith and family.
