Joey Kim, AKBD, has added to her credentials with a Remodeling Badge. She’s been in the design renovation industry since 1999 and joined NKBA in 2008. She is principal lead designer at  HArts Kitchen and Bath Designs in San Jose, Calif., and a member of the Northern California Chapter. “My new NKBA Specialty Badge lets clients know my level of expertise in the remodeling project design field,” she says. “It helps establish my commitment to excellence in client satisfaction and project completion.” Learn more about Joey here.

 

Butterfly Yao, CKBD, who advanced her certification to the CKBD level in May, has pumped up her expertise with a Cabinetry Badge. She began her K&B career about 10 years ago at a local cabinetry shop, Homey Kitchen Cabinet Design, which specializes in custom cabinetry and millwork in Markham, Ontario. Bill Baker, a third-generation carpenter and founder of Relentless Carpentry In in Mokena, Ill., has earned the Sales & Marketing Badge and the Cabinetry Badge. His company specializes in finished carpentry and cabinetry, with particular attention to details like crown molding, wainscoting, trim and woodwork. He also holds a Cabinetry Badge and is a member of NKBA’s Chicago Mid West Chapter. Learn more about Bill here.

 

NKBA Specialty Badges are a great way for badge holders to communicate that they have focused knowledge in a particular area of the kitchen and bath field. They are available to all members of the NKBA, whether remodelers, installers, sales representatives, marketing specialists, dealers or designers. The badges currently available are Floorplans & Specifications, Remodeling, Cabinetry and Sales & Marketing, and the newest: Lighting, Color and Sustainability.
