Thirty Under 30 nominations are open through Aug. 16. Meet two outstanding alumni here.

NKBA’s Thirty Under 30 program recognizes accomplished young professionals on their path to being the industry’s rock stars and future leaders. Nominate an outstanding individual, born on or after Jan. 21, 1991, to be considered for entry into this elite group — self-nominations are welcome! These pros have the potential to be kitchen and bath powerhouses, possessing the passion and drive to lead the industry into the future.

The Thirties program has identified some amazing young talent. For instance:

Meet Kirsten Gable, AKBD, Class of 2017, and Jamie Banfield, Class of 2015.

Kirsten received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and began working in K&B in 2012 as showroom manager at a tile distributor. She currently designs interiors for Anthony Wilder Design Build in Cabin John, Md., and is active in the Baltimore/Washington Chapter  of NKBA, having previously served as Vice President of Communications/Technology and currently in the role of Programs Chair.

Jamie embarked on his professional path at Home Depot, where he started in flooring “to pay the bills.” He moved on to the kitchen department, where he became a designer. Home Depot proved to be an invaluable factor in his budding career: the home-center giant helped him pay for school at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and he founded his own design firm, Jamie Banfield Design, in British Columbia in 2010.

The Thirty Under 30 Class of 2020 will be honored at KBIS in Las Vegas, Jan. 21-23, where they’ll have the opportunity to network with program alumni and past presidents of the NKBA, participate in the 30s Choice Awards, gain national media exposure, as well as earn a free trip to KBIS (airfare and hotel), an expo pass, conference pass, access to NKBA events including the Kitchen + Bath Design and Industry Awards and Opening Night gala and the best party at KBIS, the Bash. There are numerous pre- and post-event networking activities, as well as interesting and informative programs for the Thirties during the year.
