1. Modern Family (2009-2020)

The Dunphy household’s kitchen stands out as a charming, warm and inviting space, featuring a farmhouse-style decor that is stylistically unique to the 2010 era. Its open-concept layout and spacious countertops make it a perfect gathering place for family and guests alike. The center island serves as the hub of activity, as most of the action in the kitchen occurs around this area, which provides ample room for movement and a sense of the lively and bustling atmosphere of family life.

2. The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)

In a particular scene of The Grand Budapest Hotel, the viewer is transported to a large and bustling kitchen where the head chef, Monsieur Gustave H. (played by the talented Ralph Fiennes), is meticulously supervising his team of cooks as they prepare dinner for the hotel’s guests. The quick cuts and close-ups of the camera work perfectly capture the chaotic energy of the kitchen. One unforgettable kitchen-related element of the movie is the Courtesan au Chocolat, a cream-filled pastry created by the fictional baker Herr Mendl. If you’ve seen the movie and found yourself craving this delectable treat, fear not! Anderson’s team has shared a video revealing the secret recipe for making it.

3. Downton Abbey (2010-2015)

The kitchen depicted in “Downton Abbey” is a stunning portrayal of the opulence and grandeur of the time period in which the show is set. With its marble countertops, ornate cabinetry and vintage appliances, the kitchen is a space that exudes luxury and extravagance. What makes it even more remarkable is that the show’s creators managed to construct such a remarkable kitchen despite not filming at Highclere Castle, due to its modernization. Instead, the servants’ quarters and kitchen were built at Ealing Studios in London.
