Web-Based Courses
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide convenient education to the kitchen and bath industry, the NKBA provides quality web-based training as one of its educational methods.
Webinars
Webinars are one-hour sessions led by experienced instructors and industry leaders that cover a wide variety of subjects. Not only do webinars provide a convenient way to learn and discuss topics in your field, they are also a great way to earn NKBA educational hours and CEUs.
Pricing
Members: $100 per hour
Non-Members: $125 per hour
Web-Based Series
Web-based series are webinars that have more depth than a one-hour webinar. The instructor and students must meet more regularly to learn and grasp the information. Just like webinars, this option provides our members with convenient, cost-effective ways to attend a course without having to travel.
Web-based series can be 60, 75, or 90 minutes per session. There are one, two, or three sessions a week. Some web series are completed in one week, some in four, depending on the subject matter.
Webinars Tailored for Chapter Study Groups
The NKBA is pleased to announce private webinars presented by David Newton, CMKBD, for chapter study groups. These webinars are scheduled on a day and time that is most convenient to the study group. There are two formats for these offerings available:
- A one-hour private presentation of the same webinars presented to the general membership at $100/person. These webinars are presented at your convenience. Available topics include:
- The Building Envelope, Part One: Foundations & Floorings
- The Building Envelope, Part Two: Walls & Roofs
- The Plumbing Systems, Part One: The Supply System
- The Plumbing Systems, Part Two: The Drain/Waste/Vent System
- The Electrical System
- Venting Kitchens & Baths
- CKD/CBD Exam Tips
- A one-hour tailored discussion with the study group members. The members would send in their questions in advance and Mr. Newton then responds. To avoid confusion, the study group leader acts as a moderator at the chapter's location. This would be similar to hiring a nationally-known authority to provide a one-hour personalized Q&A session for the study group.
Either of these options is available to a chapter study group for a single fixed charge of $425 for 25 people, regardless of the number of members in the study group. Both will carry one NKBA hour or .1 CEU for all participants.
Conditions
- The chapter study group leader will arrange for the webinar through NKBA Education.
- The chapter study group leader will be responsible for taking and submitting attendance to NKBA Education so that NKBA hours/CEUs can be awarded.
- The chapter study group will sign onto the webinar as one "attendee."
- The program can be presented to the entire group with a large screen TV or an LCD projector, which the study group needs to provide.
- Verbal exchange between the presenter and members can be handled over a speaker phone using the 800 number we provide or by using speakers and a microphone attached to the computer being used (VOIP).
- Every effort will be made to honor the date and time requested by the study group, but this is subject to the presenter's availability.
This is an excellent opportunity for chapter study groups to bring in David Newton, CMKBD, a top NKBA instructor and nationally-respected writer and presenter as a "guest speaker" to one of your study group meetings, on a day and time of your choosing and at very little cost.
